Shanique Baker-Rogers, LMSW - Rehabilitation Specialist
Ms. Baker- Rogers began her career working with youth after graduating from Morgan State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies 2002. She worked with children that were diagnosed with emotional disturbance. She received a Master’s in Social Work in the spring of 2012.
Ms. Baker-Rogers has, over a 10 years span, held roles of a teacher, assistant teacher, residential counselor, and treatment specialist for a prominent residential treatment facility.
Since 2014, Ms. Baker-Rogers has been working for The University of Maryland Center for Infant Studies, Department of Psychiatry as a mental health consultant partnering with the Early Learning Team and Judy Centers in Baltimore City Public Schools. Her passion for young people has driven her to work within the early childhood mental health field, as a way to intervene earlier with children that are displaying behavioral difficulties. She leads several parenting groups, social skills groups, and training to help prepare teachers, staff and families of children birth to 5 to be ready for school.
